Southport Photographic Society

The society was founded in 1890, making it one of the oldest photographic societies in the country. It is also one of the best known thanks to our annual National Open Photographic Exhibition which attracts entries from the UK’s leading photographers and participation in regional and national competitions.

While at the same time, our membership is a diverse group of photographers with skill levels ranging from novice to experienced who meet each Monday from September through to April at Emmanuel Church on Cambridge Road at 19:45hrs.

Our weekly programme includes a variety of talks and presentations as well as competitions. In addition, regular workshop meetings are held throughout the winter and photo outings during the summer.

From April to September we go out taking photos all over the NW.

Once a month we hold members improvers sessions.

We're a group of friendly folk who love photography & enjoy being part of this club as its a great way of getting inspiration and improving our skills.

If you are interested in photography and want to learn more then why not join us. Visitors to any of our meetings are always welcome. All are welcome.
